Would you be surprised to hear that Burnley is amongst the greatest towns in the North West for business growth? This historic mill town has developed an extraordinary evolution of successful entrepreneurs and new business start-ups as a direct result of its pro-active approach to creating the right environment for business development. This is just one of the reasons that Burnley secured the title of Most Enterprising Area in the UK last year.

So what better way to kick start 2014 than with the Burnley Business Week! A week full of free seminars, training sessions and master classes run by professionals and experts. Offering help and advice to the budding entrepreneurs and existing enterprises.

There will be one to one business advice, group training sessions, drop-in sessions and hands on workshops; delivered by those who have experience of business and who can share their knowledge to help improve business performance.

The aim is to offer advice on a vast range of business topics from the benefits of social media marketing to guidance on exporting and international trading, advice on finances and even ways to grow and improve business and lessons on HR and recruitment. For those looking to expand their team’s there will be information about apprenticeships and the benefits they can bring to businesses.

The ‘Business Week’, has been organised by Burnley Council, in partnership with business support agencies. Burnley is working hard to continue to create a pro-active business environment in order to support local business growth and attract new investment. This in turn is developing a reputation for looking to the future, with one of the key priorities to develop an entrepreneurial culture, and Burnley Business Week will go a long way to encouraging and support this.
